MSP Technology day has been one of Datto’s most successful event series of 2020. The fully virtual event brings together IT business owners to learn about industry best practices and engage in networking opportunities. This second event was themed around “Business Continuity,” and highlighted Datto technology that enhances cloud and SaaS backup, as well as disaster recovery protection. I was responsible for both social media campaign videos and the Introductory video which opened the event.

During this event, my creative team was tasked with turning what would be a lackluster webinar into a more immersive, conference-like event. By introducing animated elements, such as social media promotions and an animated event intro, I was able to help elevate MSP Tech Day to feel on par with Datto’s larger scale conference events, such as DattoCon.

Expanding on Datto’s corporate branding, I developed my visual theme around how the new digital office of 2020 was a mosaic of screens within screens. As information constantly expanded and contracted, it was surprising to see how many ways we could re-configure the real-estate of the monitor. During this event, speakers emphasized how IT service providers are keeping track of data in a similar myriad of places. The layout and story of constantly fluctuating boxes and panels represents the flexibility of the IT Industry, expressing the confidence that moving from screen to screen , and technology to technology, will only become easier through industry collaboration.
